He stood by the window, watching the rain pour down outside. Behind him his lovers were snoring unevenly, their breathing steady; a witness of their deep sleep. Sometimes a semi-tattooed body would shift position, his sleep never wavering. The other lay still; had it not been for his chest moving up and down to the rhythm of his breathing, one could believe him dead.
He lived for these moments, when he was alone with the two people he loved more than anything. He lived for the quiet time, and sometimes, he lived for the solitude of being awake when they were sleeping. To be able to be alone; without ever having to give up on his desire to always have people around him.
He smiled, denying the weather to have any affect on him, and traced a drop on rain that was running down the hotel window. No amount of rain could change the way he felt inside. Like a teenager in love for the first time, a constant tingling throughout his body.
For as long as he could remember, he had never felt as good as he did now.
For the first time, he knew he was truly happy.
FIN.
